Patch Notes

Tiny Eden’s public builds have already lived several lives: City Garden Harvest demo patches in late 2024 and early 2025, a rebrand in April 2026, playtests with drones in May, and a content-heavy demo in July. This page keeps the changes that still matter when you pick up a watering can. It is not a complete Steam news dump. Official text always wins if we drift.

If you are patch-hunting because a tomato vanished, read how to grow first. Many “bugs” are pot sizes.

Why old notes still matter

The grab, stove, and pot-menu confusion from 2024 videos still shows up in 2026 threads. The parcel box and orders system from patch 0.5.1 are the skeleton of the current economy. Tutorial rewrites in demo updates are why controls tells you to trust Settings over a YouTube overlay.

Patch 0.4.9.7 (December 2024)

  • Items disappearing from inventory — fixed.
  • Pot names wrong after loading a save — fixed.

If your demo still shows ghost names, verify the install.

Patch 0.5.1 (January 2025)

New mechanics:

  • Parcel box — non-furniture shop buys spawn in a box outside the apartments instead of popping into your arms.
  • Orders — from day two, generated orders on the PC or parcel box.

Improvements: continuous music, streamer items.

Bug fixes: beds despawning, item duplication in quick slots, soil improperly removed from pots, produce stuck to the parent plant.

This is the patch that made “go outside and fetch the bag of compost” a real verb. It also made the kitchen economy more than a fridge.

Tutorial and recipe pass (late 2024 demo update)

A public demo update added a clearer tutorial and easier-to-read recipes. Playthroughs after that date are safer to watch than the first-look VODs. The embedded video on the demo guide is from that era.

Rebrand (2 April 2026)

City Garden Harvest became Tiny Eden. Store app ID stayed 3375110. Wishlist, demo, and news carried over. Nothing about soil chemistry reset; the name change was positioning, not a new engine.

Playtest, 22 May 2026

Announced as a large step:

  • New tutorial for the early grow loop.
  • Drones (MVP) — fill soil, plant, water, weed, harvest, remove dead plants and damaged leaves; pollination listed but not testable.
  • New tools: disease sprayer, vacuum, temperature and light add-ons for boxes and pots.
  • Updated city exterior.
  • New cooking animations.

The playtest hardware sheet (4 GB RAM, RTX 2070) is obsolete. Use system requirements.

Demo, 8 July 2026

  • More plant varieties than the previous playtest.
  • Two to three hours of story quests.
  • Open trading post.
  • New crafting recipes.
  • New skills and progression.
  • Explicit note: demo does not officially support Steam Deck.

This is the demo you should download, not a 2024 folder still named City Garden Harvest.

What we will add on 7 September

Day-one 1.0 notes will land here: save transfer, Deck badge, Linux boot issues, economy tweaks, and anything that breaks the plant tier list. Until then, do not treat playtest drone behaviour as frozen.

If a patch deletes a recipe or changes tomato pots, we will also touch how to cook and the pot size chart. Follow Steam news from the links hub if you need the notice in the next hour.

How to read a Tiny Eden changelog

Studio notes mix “new mechanic” with “we fixed the bed.” Separate them when you update your habits.

  • New verbs (parcel box, orders, drones, sprayer) change how to expand and how to cook.
  • Tutorial rewrites change controls more than they change soil recipes.
  • Despawn / duplication / stuck produce are load-order bugs. Verify files before rewriting your plant tier list around a ghost tomato.
  • Hardware sheets inside playtest posts are historical. The live Steam minimums on system requirements override any 4 GB RAM line from May.

If you are returning from a 2024 City Garden Harvest folder, assume 0.5.1’s parcel box and the July 2026 story slice are both in the current demo. Do not follow a YouTube overlay that still shows a coding job as your only income. Watch the date on the video, then match it to the section above.

When 1.0 ships, the first notes to watch for are: save transfer, Steam Deck badge, Linux mesh-shader crash reports, and any change to “sell cooked dishes only.” Those four rewrite more wiki pages than a new wallpaper.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common Tiny Eden questions.

Is Tiny Eden still called City Garden Harvest?

No. The April 2026 rebrand renamed it Tiny Eden. Old patch notes under the previous title still apply to the same app.

Did drones ship in the demo?

Drones were in a May 2026 playtest MVP. The July demo post does not list them as a headline feature. Check your build.
